How your soundtrack is born

1. You tell us your story, in person or remotely: how you met, the places that matter, the people you love.
2. Ilarion turns it into music: he writes the lyrics in Italian, the language of bel canto, and weaves melody, phrasing and harmony into a piece that did not exist before you.
3. On your wedding day he sings it live, in front of the people you have chosen to have beside you.
4. He gives you the sheet music, so that the music stays yours forever.

Sheet music to hand down

A recording can be listened to; sheet music can be played and sung again. Your song comes with its sheet music: a lead sheet with the melody in treble clef, the chords and the lyrics, so anyone who plays the piano or the guitar can accompany it. You can have it performed at an anniversary or in the family, and one day your children will be able to sing it. It is a gift that does not end with the celebration.

When to sing it

• At the wedding: at the reception, or in church if the parish priest allows it, at the most suitable moment of the celebration.

Voice and instruments

Ilarion sings while accompanying himself on the piano or the organ; for a larger event the song can be performed with an ensemble of violin, cello, organ and soprano. The lyrics of the song are in Italian; during the rest of the day Ilarion also sings in English, Spanish and Greek, a real asset for guests arriving from other countries.

How long it takes

There is no fixed time: every song has its own. Some are born in a few weeks, others take a few months to mature. That is why it is best to write as soon as you have your date: meetings can also take place remotely, and the music has time to find its shape.

A surprise choir of friends

For one more emotion, your soundtrack can become a surprise choral flash mob: friends and family, rehearsed in secret, remotely too, rise from among the guests and sing a part written for their own voice.
